Special characters possible for .FR, .RE, .PM, .TF, .WF and .YT

As of now you can register a .FR, .RE, .PM, .TF, .WF und .YT also with special characters.


The legal characters are: ß à á â ã ä å æ ç è é ê ë ì í î ï ñ ò ó ô õ ö ù ú û ü ý ÿ œ


Before the start of the open availability on July 03, 2012 there will be a Grandfathering-Phase in advance.


Until July 02, 2012 you can register such a domain if you already have registered with us the equivalent in the ASCII version and the domain owner is the same. The domain name without diacritics is required or the use of the character combination ss, ae and oe instead of the characters ß æ œ.


Example:

"müller-straße.fr" can be registered if you already have "muller-strasse.fr". With the domain "mueller-strasse.fr" you will not become qualified.


If you don't meet the requirements you can use the open availability as of July 03, 2012. From that time no specific rules apply.

For the open availability the pre-registration is possible. This can be done in your personal customer account with the menu option "Registration" via the tab "Pre-Registration" until 24 hours before the start-up time.
