Pre-registration for .SX started

.SX is the Top Level Domain of the Autonomous Region of Sint Maarten. Since the dissolution of the Netherlands Antilles on October 10, 2010 Sint Maarten is considered as a separate country within the Kingdom of the Netherlands.

The TLDs can be registered by both individuals and companies. A local presence is not required.

The registration will be done in several periods.

Landrush period:

A domain name can be registered without requirements. If there is more than one registration for the same domain name, the domain goes to an auction.

For not successfully registered domains there is a full refund of the costs.

Pre-registrations for the Landrush period are possible as of now until November 09, 2012 (08:00 CET).

costs: EUR 59.90 (net: 50.34) per domain / year

GoLive period/General Availability:

A domain name can be registered without requirements. For each domain only the earliest highest order with sufficient credit will be submitted.

Pre-registrations for the GoLive period are possible as of now until until November 14, 2012 (16:00 CET).

costs: at least EUR 29.90 (net: 25.13) per domain / year

As of November 15, 2012 shortly after the start of the period at 16:00 CET registrations can be made as usual.

The pre-registration can generally only be made, if credit is sufficient at the latest at the end of each pre-registration.
