.creditunion domains are exclusively destined to credit unions with registered in the United States or Canada, for the moment they cannot be registered outside these countries, this is a strict rule, so in case of detecting non-compliance, .creditunion will immediately delete the domain.
It is a new domain focused on credit unions, created to differentiate themselves from other companies and financial institutions, it is therefore the only domain extension that exists for this purpose, which provides some advantages over traditional domains:
- Availability of domains, since it is a space restricted to these entities.
- Recognition by search engines, as well as customers and visitors, they will know instantly and even before accessing, that it is not only the website of a bank, but that it is a credit union.
- Due to their restrictions, they cannot be registered by third parties, since they would not pass the verification process carried out by .creditunion.
